NCISS Hit The Hill May 2024

The mission of the National Council of Investigation and Security Services is legislative advocacy.

Q:           How do we advocate on behalf of investigators and security professionals?

A:            By meeting in Washington, D.C. annually meeting with legislators sharing a common voice which has the greatest impact.

Q:           How do we communicate a common voice?

A             The registered attendees will meet with our paid lobbyist, LobbyIt, Monday May 6, 2024 at the Capitol Hill Hotel to discuss the current bills before Congress.  At the meeting attendees will receive packets of information that will be reviewed at the meeting and taken with the attendees on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 when each individual meets with their respective legislators.  Packets will be left with the legislators and/or staffers at the respective offices.

Q:           What if I have never attended and/or met with legislator(s) before, can I still attend?

A:            Yes, NCISS provides training to registered attendee/ NCISS Members in a virtual setting on March 14, 2024 @ 2:30 p.m. eastern led by our very own Francie Koehler (registration is required to attend the virtual training); and LobbyIt can also assist the attendees with setting up appointments (if needed) 30 days in advance of HTH on May 7, 2024.  You will also receive a complete packet of information you will take with you to the appointment and leave with legislators and/or staffers.
