State Association Advisory Board

In September 1999, NCISS established the State Association Advisory Board (SAAB).

State Association Advisory Board

While Serving as the voice of the industry in Washington D.C., NCISS recognized the need of state association leaders to be able to effectively communicate with their colleagues on issues that were specific to state associations. NCISS pledged to create a voice for the state association leaders.

In September 1999, NCISS established the State Association Advisory Board (SAAB). At our first meeting, there were 34 Association presidents and representatives in attendance, representing 20 state associations. Today, 40 state associations are participating in (SAAB)

Purpose of SAAB

The purpose of the SAAB is to create a forum for the exchange of ideas, information, needs and concerns relative to the state and regional associations. We recognize the power of communication, the power of knowledge, and the power of being able to both share and receive information.

Goals of SAAB

To provide a forum for state associations for the exchange of ideas and information relative to state association and legislative issues. To identify the individual states' legislative concerns.

  • To identify and address individual states' legislative concerns
