Jack Burke has been the principal of Jack Burke & Associates, Ltd. for fifteen
years. The firm conducts financial and general investigation services for the
business and legal communities as an Illinois licensed private detective agency.
For approximately five years, Jack was employed by Coopers & Lybrand. He was a
manager in litigation & claims & forensic accounting in that public accounting
firm’s Business Investigative Services practice.
For almost twenty-four years Jack was employed by the Chicago Police Department.
The last eleven years of his public service he was an Investigator and then a
Sergeant in the Financial Investigation Unit. He worked other prior assignments
as a patrol officer and as an auto theft detective.
He received a Bachelor degree in accounting from DePaul University. Jack has
completed numerous continuing professional education courses in financial &
general investigations. He received the Special Prosecution Bureau Recognition
Award from then Cook County State's Attorney Richard M. Daley and the Superior
Public Service Award, Outstanding Supervisory Employee, from then Mayor of the
City of Chicago Harold Washington. He is a Certified Fraud Examiner since May
1990.
