The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) will be
hosting and sponsoring the Exploring Privacy
Colleagues,
The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) will be hosting and
sponsoring the Exploring Privacy: A Roundtable Series workshop
on Monday, December 7th in Washington, DC. I will be there
representing NCISS and look forward to contributing to the event
as well as other NCISS members.
The FTC is hosting a series of day-long public roundtable
discussions to explore the privacy challenges posed by the vast
array of 21st century technology and business practices that
collect and use consumer data. The roundtable will cover such
topics as the collection and use of information by retailers,
data brokers, third-party applications, and other diverse
businesses.
Our participation in these workshops helps to insure that NCISS
gets timely information, we better understand the concerns and
potential position that the FTC may be contemplating, and allows
for NCISS to voice our concerns and position on the subject of
privacy and continued online data access.
